Anisa Saouab

Teacher

Born and raised in Gatineau, Quebec, Anisa Saouab is an interdisciplinary dance performer, teacher and emerging choreographer. Having graduated with distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance dance, Anisa has trained extensively in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop, making her a well-rounded performer and choreographer. Anisa has had the opportunity to perform in Fall For Dance North’s 2024 festival presenting Light-Print, choreographed by Artistic Associate of the Gibney Company Jessie Obremski. She has also had the opportunity to work with the Stephanie Lake Company in its remount of Colossus in Toronto, Alyssa Martin and Rock Bottom Movement, Louis Laberge-Côté, and Rodney Diverlus. Anisa has been recognized for outstanding achievements in both dance and choreography; receiving Young Choreographer of The Year, Diamond Choreography and Top Overall Adjudication awards for her work. She has also had the privilege of choreographing for the popular Quebec dance TV competition Revolution, on seasons 2, 3 and 4.
