Teacher
Maxine has been dancing since the age of five, and competed from age eight to her graduating year of 17 in styles including ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. She has completed a number of jazz and rap ADAPT exams, as well as many ballet exams from the Royal Academy of Dance. Her first solo experience was choreographed by the founder of the studio, Danielle Kelley, who mentored her and helped her grow into the dancer she is today. Maxine was invited to perform in 2016 with "Five Star Company," directed by Jacques Monfiston, where she had the privilege to work with many amazing dancers and choreographers: Kim O'Neil, Jerome Bobb, Linda Garneau, and Jacques Monfiston himself at The Barcelo Beach Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Maxine shares her passion with her young Studio Danielle students in ballet and tap—her strong suit, as she has performed a number of solos in these genres. She is also a student at the University of Ottawa in the "Human Rights and Conflict Studies" program, and plans to graduate in 2020.
